CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois Athletics has announced the creation of the Investors Society, a philanthropic giving association for leadership-level support to the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics (DIA). The newly established group of the DIA's most generous and loyal donors will encompass commitments of $50,000 or more over a five-year period.
"The introduction of the Investors Society marks a pivotal moment for Illinois Athletics, and we are thrilled to see this initiative come to life. The Investors Society embodies our commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, philanthropy, and innovation within the DIA," said Director of Athletics, Josh Whitman. "This esteemed group of donors will play a critical role in shaping our future, providing invaluable resources and support that will drive our student-athletes and teams to new heights. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and look forward to the transformative impact their generosity will have on Illinois Athletics for years to come."
Members of the Investors Society will take an active role in providing the resources necessary for Fighting Illini Athletics to excel, now and in the future, against the backdrop of an industry facing its most impactful period of evolution in its history.
Benefits associated with the Investors Society include several behind-the-scenes opportunities and meaningful engagement with the DIA program, such as exclusive access and events with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes, an Investors Retreat with administration and head coaches, donor recognition across multiple platforms, quarterly reports alongside annual investment summaries, and more.
The Investors Society name pays homage to the elite group of Fighting Illini supporters who have committed to invest, innovate, and ensure Illinois Athletics will be positioned to excel across the athletic program in the years ahead. The leadership of Investors Society members will be an integral part of attracting and retaining championship-caliber people, providing life-changing educational experiences, and pursuing championships at the highest level.
