Illini Earn GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Fighting Illini men's golf program was recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for its success in the classroom when the organization announced its 2023-24 Outstanding Team Academic Awards on Tuesday (July 30).
The GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Awards honor programs across all collegiate levels – NCAA Divisions I, II, and III; NAIA; and NJCAA Divisions I and II – that record a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better. A total of 240 programs were honored across all six divisions.
This marks the eighth consecutive year that head coach Mike Small's squad has been recognized with the GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award.
