CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fresh off a strong finish at the U.S. Open, Thomas Detry is back in action on the PGA Tour and teeing off for the first week in his career in the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
PGA TOUR
On the strength of a T4 finish last month at the PGA Championship and his T14 last weekend at the U.S. Open, Detry enters play at the Travelers Championship – held at TPC River Island in Cromwell, Connecticut – at No. 48 in the OWGR, a career-high mark. He also ranks No. 22 in the FedEx Cup standings, having made nine of 10 cuts since early March.

Detry, and fellow Illini and countryman Adrien Dumont de Chassart also closed the two-year qualification period in position to represent Belgium at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with the next step in the process coming later this month when the National Olympic Committees for each qualifying golfer confirm their spot. The men's stroke play competition is set for August 1-4.

KORN FERRY TOUR
Detry was one of two Illini to make the cut last weekend at Pinehurst, along with former teammate Brian Campbell who finished T56 in his third U.S. Open and his first in nine years.
Campbell, No. 14 on the Korn Ferry Tour points list, now turns his attention to this week's Compliance Solutions Championship at the Jimmie Austin Golf Club in Norman, Okla.
DP WORLD TOUR
Matthis Besard is set to tee off at the KLM Open, his 14th DP World Tour start of the season, this week in the Netherlands. Besard is coming off a T30 finish last week at the European Open.
LIV GOLF LEAGUE
Thomas Pieters and his RangeGoats teammates are in action this week at The Grove in Nashville. In his last outing in Houston, Pieters finished tied for 24th.

PGA TOUR AMERICAS
Recent graduate Piercen Hunt will make his professional debut, alongside former teammate Tommy Kuhl at The Beachlands Victoria Open at Uplands Golf Club in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Hunt advanced through Q School last week with a 10-under at Crown Isle in Courtenay, B.C. For Kuhl, it will be his seventh start of the PGA Tour Americas season.
