CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini Athletics will host a doubleheader basketball watch party at State Farm Center on Thursday, March 28 with both women's and men's basketball playing postseason games being shown on the videoboard. Gates will open at 6 p.m. CT and admission is FREE. Fans of all ages are encouraged to attend.
The first 350 fans will get a free hot dog, courtesy of Illinois Student Affairs. Coca-Cola will be on site with giveaways and products for taste testing. Photo booth and giveaways also available from Max (formerly HBO).
The women's basketball team begins its WBIT quarterfinal game at Tulsa at 6:30 p.m. CT, followed by the conclusion of the UConn/San Diego State men's game, and then the men's basketball Sweet 16 contest vs. Iowa State. In between games, there will be in-venue crowd participation contests like knockout, 3-point shooting, trivia and more.
Concessions will be open with dinner options as well as drink specials -- $5 Twisted Tea, $3 Icon beer, $6 margaritas, and pink lemonades and $8 25oz Bud Lights.
ENTRANCE AND PARKING: Fans should enter the West main gates of State Farm. Parking will be free in the northwest and southwest lots. The clear bag policy will be in effect.
