CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois women's basketball team's conference opponents for the 2023-24 Big Ten regular season have been announced by the league office. The announcement revealed the first details of the Fighting Illini's schedule in Year 2 under head coach Shauna Green.

Each of the conference's 14 programs will again face an 18-game Big Ten slate, playing two games (home and away) against five teams, and single matchups against the remaining eight programs – four home and four away.

Illinois will play home and road contests against Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska and Northwestern. Illini fans can catch the Orange and Blue host Minnesota, Ohio State, Rutgers and Wisconsin inside State Farm Center as well. Illinois will hit the road for its lone matchups against Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State and Purdue this coming season.

The 2022-23 Big Ten Conference Women's Basketball season will culminate with the 31st Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, which will be held at the Target Center in Minneapolis for the second straight year.

Tickets for the 2023-24 Illini women's basketball season – including the popular women's basketball/volleyball season ticket combo pack – are on sale now.

Following a 2022-23 season that saw the Illini in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years and the most wins (22) since 1999-2000, there's no better time to support Illinois and the new #OneWay Forward campaign. Season ticket renewals for the highly anticipated 2023-24 Illinois women's basketball campaign began on June 5 while new season tickets went on sale a week later, June 12.

In Year 1 under Shauna Green, Illinois women's basketball delivered one of the largest one-year turnarounds across the NCAA. Green led the squad to a 22-10 overall record after taking over a program that had gone 7-20 the season prior. The Illini were ranked in the Top 25 for the first time since the 2000-01 campaign. In the stands, Illinois secured the fifth-best single-season home attendance in program history during the 2022-23 campaign, and Green became the first head coach to bring in 50,000+ fans during her first season at the helm.
