Big Ten Tournament Central
The bracket is set for the 2023 Big Ten Tournament. The 26th annual event will be held March 8-12 at the United Center in Chicago, returning to the Windy City for the first time since 2019.
Illinois (20-11, 11-9) is the No. 7 seed and opens play Thursday at 5:30 p.m. CT on BTN, facing No. 10 seed Penn State (19-12, 10-10).
Illinois finished in a tie for fifth place in the Big Ten this season, its fourth straight top-five finish.Â
The Fighting Illini are the winningest team in the Big Ten over the last four years, with 55 conference victories.Â
The Illini have claimed three Big Ten Tournament titles all-time, winning the event in 2003, 2005 and 2021.
