AUBURN, Ala. -- The Illinois dive team completed their second day at the Auburn Diving Invite on Monday, Dec. 18 from the James E. Martin Aquatic Center. Today's competition was the three-meter boards and the Illini finish up tomorrow with platform diving.
Freshman Matilda Garcia led the Illini divers in the three-meter finals; she placed sixth overall with 256.50 points. The senior twins, Brooke Michael and Taylor Michael, were the other two to join Matilda in the finals. Brooke placed eighth with 238.65 points and Taylor finished ninth with 236.25 points.
Three freshman participated in the preliminary round: Bethany Mercer (13th, 205.85), Elleka Boeres (14th, 204.25) and Elle Crisostomo (15th, 182.55).
