NEW HOME GAME ELEMENTS
Beginning with the Illini's Pack the House night against No. 6 Indiana, Illinois Athletics is introducing several new elements to Fighting Illini women's basketball home games.Â
With 20 minutes left of the pre-game clock, kids are encouraged to come down through sections 115/116 to the SE tunnel to create a tunnel for the Illini team to run through as it returns to the court. DJ Tat will take control of the music throughout the game.Â
Two new elements have been added to team introductions. Fans should download the Illini Athletics App on their phones to participate in the pre-game Light Show. Additionally, a pyrotechnics display can be expected.
In-game, if an opponent misses two free throws, fans can redeem free nuggets from McDonald's the next day.
