
Marshall Earns Prominent NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini track and field athlete Reed Marshall received a NCAA Postgraduate scholarship the NCAA announced. The former Illini triple-jumper graduated from Illinois with his Bachelor's of Social Work.
While competing for the Illini Marshall won the triple-jump at the Illini Invitational this year. He is also a three time Academic All-Big Ten and Big Ten Distinguished scholar recipient (2020-22).
Marshall plans to attend the University of Illinois Chicago and pursue his Masters in Social Work.
Every year the NCAA awards 126 postgraduate scholarships. They are awarded to student-athletes who are in the final year of their intercollegiate athletics and excel academically as well as athletically. The one-time non-renewable scholarships of $10,000 are awarded three times a year, in line with each sport season (fall, winter and spring). Each sports season there is 21 scholarships available for each gender.
