CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced Thursday (June 16) the home and away opponents for the 2022-23 women's basketball season, setting the stage for Illinois head coach Shauna Green's inaugural run through the conference.
Each of the conference's 14 programs will again face an 18-game Big Ten slate, playing two games (home and away) against five teams, and single matchups against the remaining eight programs (four home and four away).
Illinois will play home and road contests against Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Rutgers. Fans at State Farm Center will also see the Illini host home games against Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State, and Purdue. Single-game road matchups for the Orange and Blue will be played at Maryland, at Michigan, at Ohio State, and at Wisconsin.
The 2022-23 Big Ten Conference Women's Basketball season will culminate March 2-6, 2023, with the 30th Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament, which will be held for the first time at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
