URBANA, Ill. – Atkins Golf Club at the University of Illinois has set its grand opening day for Saturday, June 4. Tee times are available now at AtkinsGolfClub.com. Tee times begin at 7 AM Friday-Sunday and 8 AM Monday-Thursday, and are available to book 30 days in advance.
There will be a special dedication event hosted by the DIA on Friday, June 3 for invited guests. For the event, Homegrown restaurant will be closed to the public.
The main practice green is open for putting only. The driving range is also open for practice from the new artificial teeing area as weather and turf conditions allow. Pro shop hours are 10 AM -7 PM.
ATKINS GOLF RATES: Atkins Golf Club is open to the general public with weekday, weekend and twilight rates available. Atkins Golf Club has discounts for University of Illinois faculty, staff and students, as well as Alumni Association members, military and seniors, and homeowners in the Stone Creek Subdivision.
The Atkins Players Card can be purchased for the 2022 season for those high-frequency golfers for just $300 and offers discounts on rounds throughout the season.
EVENTS AND HOSPITALITY AT ATKINS GOLF CLUB: Atkins Golf Club has event and hospitality space to host a wide variety of events. The available areas include spaces for groups as small as 20-30 for meetings and private dinners, and room for large gatherings of as many as 200 in the upstairs ballroom. HOMEGROWN RESTAURANT: Homegrown is the farm-to-table restaurant at Atkins Golf Club. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 7 AM – 10 PM. The new spring seasonal menu has just rolled out featuring a steak and eggs breakfast and pan-roasted duck breast for dinner. Homegrown is managed and run by St. Joseph, Illinois' Wheelhouse owners Abbie and Ryan Rogiers. The farm-to-table concept restaurant focuses on locally grown and raised ingredients.
