Why Illinois: "I chose Illinois because I believe in God's perfect timing and the vision coach Green has set for this program. I know with hard work and dedication we can surprise a lot of people. The resources at this university are top notch & the people are even better. The University of Illinois really feels like home, and I can't wait to rep the Orange and Blue."

Green's Take: "I am very excited to add Genesis to our Illini family. She is a proven winner who has had success at every level she has been at. Gen is a guard who can facilitate and score the basketball. She believes in what we are building here and wants to be a part of the change. Gen will fit perfectly in our up-tempo style, and we cannot wait to get her to Champaign."
