The Fighting Illini softball team announced the 2022 promotional schedule for games hosted at Eichelberger Field. Highlights include the return of the World's Largest Softball Tailgate for Illinois' May 7 matchup with Penn State, being held for the first time since 2019 after the 2020 version was canceled due to COVID-19 and the 2021 season was played without fans in attendance. Other promotions that Illini fans can participate in include the annual pink game hosted on Saturday, April 9 vs. Wisconsin, and game show night surrounding the April 13 doubleheader against Northwestern.

To kick off mom's weekend at Illinois, Illinois softball will welcome all mom's to Eichelberger Field and will be giving away pot holders upon entrance to the facility, while supplies last.
BIG TEN HOME OPENER // FRIDAY, APRIL 8 VS. WISCONSIN // 5:00 P.M. CT
The Illini will kick off their Big Ten home season on April 7 vs. Wisconsin, with the first 150 fans receiving a free seat cushion featuring the white Illinois cursive script.
ANNUAL PINK GAME // SATURDAY, APRIL 9 VS. WISCONSIN // 1:00 P.M. CT
Illinois continues their annual tradition of the pink game to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. Illinois players will wear special pink uniforms for the game, and a pink replica jersey towel will be given away to the first 200 fans in attendance.

Come watch great softball and participate in game show contests throughout the Wednesday night doubleheader against in-state rival Northwestern! Featuring fan-favorite television shows such as the Wheel of Fortune, Price Is Right, and other game shows, fans will be provided an interactive experience throughout the evening's games!

Illini fans can bring their four-legged friends to enjoy a doubleheader at Eichelberger Field! Dogs will be allowed to attend the evening's games, and an Illionis Softball inspired dog bandana will be given away while supplies last.

Fans of the hit television show FRIENDS will be treated to a special experience on April 23 vs. Iowa! Videos and contest throughout the game will be tailored to the Friends television show, and a special Illinois Friends t-shirt will be given away while supplies last.

Celebrating diversity and inclusion at Eichelberger Park, players will wear patches on their jerseys and a special diversity and inclusion button will be given away to fans!

Illinois softball players will honor their "MVP's" during Illinois' contest against Western Illinois, inviting their favorite professors to Eichelberger Field for recognition!
17TH ANNUAL WORLD'S LARGEST SOFTBALL TAILGATE AND SENIOR DAY // SATURDAY, MAY 7 VS. PENN STATE // 1:00 P.M. CT
Returning for the first time since 2019, the Illini will host the annual "World's Largest Softball Tailgate" encouraging all Illini fans to fire up their grills, pull out their coolers, and pack Eichelberger Field in a celebration of Illinois softball! Tailgating activities such as inflatables, face painters, balloon artists, and music will take place during the tailgate. Illinois will also celebrate it's senior class this day.
TITLE IX/SCOUTS DAY // SUNDAY, APRIL 8 VS. PENN STATE // 12:00 P.M. CT
Illinois softball will celebrate the 50th anniversiary of Title IX and celebrate local girl scouts in the area by inviting them to enjoy the regular-season finale for the Illini.
