Cockburn for Player of the Year
Champaign, ILL.– Illinois junior center Kofi Cockburn has been voted a first-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), one of three Big Ten players selected to the first team.
Cockburn has garnered first-team All-America accolades from every single outlet that has announced their awards to date, keeping the junior center on track for consensus first-team All-America designation by the NCAA.

Cockburn is the fourth Illini player ever to earn first-team All-America honors from the NABC and second straight, following Ayo Dosunmu last season. Cockburn also becomes just the second two-time NABC All-America selection in school history, along with Dee Brown.
