Illini junior Kofi Cockburn is the reigning Big Ten Player of the Week and has also been selected as National Player of the Week by the Naismith Trophy, NCAA March Madness, and Dick Vitale. Cockburn earns the recognition after averaging 27 points and 10 rebounds on 69% shooting in a pair of victories, keeping the Illini atop the current Big Ten standings.

• Dominant performance in the 13-point win over No. 11 Wisconsin, totaling 37 points on historic 16-of-19 shooting with 12 rebounds.

• His 37 points tied the most in a Big Ten game this season.

• His 16 field goals are third-most in the NCAA this season, and the most against a ranked opponent and high-major conference opponent.

• His 16 FG also are the most by an Illini since 1991, and tie the second-most in school history in Big Ten play.• His 37 points are his most in Big Ten play.

• His 37 points are the most against Wisconsin since Nov. 19, 2013, when North Dakota's Troy Huff also scored 37.

• His 37 points are the most by an Illini in a Big Ten regulation game since Brandon Paul scored 43 vs. Ohio State Jan. 10, 2012.

• It was his third career 30/10 game.

• Marked his eighth game of 20+ points and 10+ rebounds this season, ranking second in the country.

• Recorded his 40th career double-double – the most in the nation over the last three years – and one away from the Illinois career record.

• Had 17 points, game-high eight rebounds and two steals in the 17-point win at Indiana, the Illini's largest victory margin ever at IU's Assembly Hall.

• Defended Trayce Jackson-Davis, holding the IU star to just 6 points on 3-of-9 from the field, his worst shooting performance of the season and second-lowest point total of the year.
