NEWS

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Illinois women's basketball team is set to host a fun-filled day of clinics and activities to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day prior to the Fighting Illini's Senior Day game vs. Rutgers on Sunday at State Farm Center.

Many Fighting Illini Athletics women's programs will host activity stations to allow young fans a chance to try out their skills and learn from their favorite Illini student-athletes. In addition, fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy a photo station, inflatables, a poster-making station, and more, all throughout the State Farm Center concourse.

The first 500 fans in attendance will also get a commemorative water bottle celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Title IX.

Doors open at 1 p.m. CT and free tickets are available for anyone 18 and under. The free tickets must but must be claimed (one per individual) at the State Farm Center ticket office at the west entrance on the day of the game.

The Illini women's basketball team tips off at 2 p.m. CT, hosting the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the final game of the 2021-22 regular season. Following the game, fans are encouraged to remain in their seats to help the Orange and Blue celebrate the careers of senior members of the team with a post-game ceremony.
