Illinois alum Aleksander Vukic defeated Dimitar Kuzmanov 6-4,6-4 to win his first career challenger title at the Bengaluru Open 2. Vukic was the number one seed in the tournament and swept most of his opponents.

Vukic is currently ranked 135 in the ATP singles rankings, the highest of his career. Vukic is 22-10 (.688) overall since September 2021 and is 4-2 against Top 100 players during this stretch. This season he reached his first ATP Tour quarterfinals and earned his first win in a grand slam in the Australian Open this season.
