Vukic Onto Singles Finals in ATP Challenger

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois alumnus Aleks Vukic will represent Australia in the singles finals in the Paine Schwartz partners $50,000 USTA Challenger tomorrow at noon at Atkins Tennis Center.

Vukic advanced to the finals after a 7-6 (7), 6-4 win over the United States' Christopher Eubanks.

Two other former Illini also played Saturday afternoon – Aleks Kovacevic dropped his match to Ben Shelton, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-4 and Zeke Clark, alongside doubles partner Alfredo Perez, lost the doubles finals match in a heart-breaking tiebreak to Robert Galloway and Hans Hach Verdugo, 3-6, 6-3,10-5.
