A 10-0 run over a two-minute stretch turned a narrow Illinois deficit into a six-point advantage with eight minutes to play, with Dainja moving into double figures for his fourth straight game.
Three Shannon 3-pointers over a five-minute stretch pushed the Illini lead to 10, and that advantage climbed as high as 12 late in the game.
