2023 Schedule

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini women's gymnastics head coach Nadalie Walsh announced the full schedule for the 2023 season on Thursday. 

JANUARY

Illinois' season kicks off with a home meet against Mizzou on Jan. 8. at Huff Hall, before the Illini head to Tucson, Ariz., for a meet against the Arizona Wildcats, Jan. 14.

The Orange and Blue then start conference competition early, with a pair of Big Ten meets - at Rutgers on Jan. 21 and home vs. Nebraska on Jan. 28 – to close out the first month of the schedule.  

FEBRUARY

Illinois will head back on the road to face Minnesota on Feb. 4, before starting a two-meet homestand with Ohio State (Feb. 13) and Michigan State (Feb. 17).

The Illini then compete in the annual Big 5 tournament where they will match up against Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, and Maryland in Long Island, N.Y., on Feb. 24. Illinois will stay on Long Island to compete two days later against LIU, Temple, and NC State, on Feb. 26.

MARCH

The Illini open March with a trip to Columbus, Ohio, to face Big Ten rival Ohio State, as well as non-conference foe Kent State, on March 5.

The last home meet of the season is set for March 11 when the Illini will welcome Kentucky, Illinois State and Northern Illinois into Huff Hall.

Illinois then travels to Iowa City, Iowa, for the Big Ten Championships on March 18.

NCAA POSTSEASON

NCAA Regionals are scheduled for March 31-April 2 in a location to be announced later. Teams and individuals that advance will then compete in the the NCAA Championship, April 14-15, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
