Hi Illini Nation!

The events that have taken place in the past year have underlined the importance of appreciating every opportunity to play and represent the University of Illinois. It was with such perspective that we entered the NCAA Columbus Regional which was held at the Ohio State University Scarlet course. Although we did not end up advancing, we all learned a lot from the experience and appreciated the opportunity to play a challenging venue against a strong field!

After arriving back from campus last week, we closed the season with a team celebration which consisted of fishing, lunch, and an awards ceremony. Shout out to Crystal Wang for catching her first fish! Since we were unable to have an in-person gathering following last year's abbreviated season, we all enjoyed the opportunity to convene as a team and celebrate our accolades from the last two years! Congratulations to Tristyn Nowlin for setting a new career scoring record!

Additionally, I would like to extend my congratulations to those of us graduating this spring and summer! On the topic of graduation, it is hard to believe my time as a student-athlete at Illinois is coming to an end. I cannot thank my coaches, teammates, the athletic department, and the university enough for providing me with a truly unparalleled experience both athletically and academically. I have grown tremendously during my time here, and I look forward to applying such lessons and growth as I embark on the next chapter of my life. Although I may not physically be on campus anymore, one thing that I have learned is that your time as an Illini never actually ends. All of the lessons I have learned, all of the experiences I have had, and all of the people I have met will stay with me for the rest of my life!
