Illinois junior Ayo Dosunmu has been voted a first-team Associated Press All-American, while sophomore Kofi Cockburn has been named a second-team AP All-American.

Dosunmu becomes the first player in Illini history to earn first-team All-America honors by the AP.

The duo are the first U of I players to achieve All-America recognition by AP since Dee Brown in 2006.

This is the first time the Fighting Illini have multiple AP All-Americans, meanwhile, since 2005 when the trio of Dee Brown (second team), Luther Head (second team) and Deron Williams (third team) were all selected.
