ITA Indoor Championship Tournament Central
Champaign, Ill. – Illinois men's tennis team will host and compete in the 2021 ITA National Indoor Championships Feb. 12-14.
The 46th annual ITA Division I National Men's Team Indoor Championship Presented by Oracle showcases eight of the top men's Division I teams in the three-day tournament to crown an indoor national champion at Atkins Tennis Center.
Six teams qualified for the event by winning two regional play rounds during the ITA Kickoff Weekend; North Carolina, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Southern California and Virginia. The final team, Baylor earned their spot after beating Texas A&M 4-1 during their rescheduled match on Feb. 7.
Illinois first match is at 6:30 pm CT on Friday night against the No. 1 seed Southern California. This is the first match-up between the two teams since March 18, 2013.
Matches will be played on Friday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 14, with the championship match at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14. There will be matches held each day at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m., with those times subject to change based on finish times.
No fans will be allowed to attend the tournament due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Illini Last Time Out
The Illini defeated  Wisconsin 6-1 on Tuesday Feb. 19 in their first dual match of the 2021 season.
Illinois went 2-1 in doubles play, winning on courts one and three. Siphs Montsi and Kweisi Kenyatte won the first match 6-1 followed by Alex Bancila and Aleks Kovacevic who won 6-4.
In singles plays Illinois Kenyatte picked up the first win, defeating Wisconsin's Mihailo Popovic 6-1, 6-2. Kovacevic followed, defeating Gabriel Huber 6-2, 6-2. Monsti secured the victory for the Illini defeating Robin Parts 6-2, 6-4.Â
The Orange and Blue picked up two more singles wins from Zeke Clark and freshman Hunter Heck. Clark defeated Jared Pratt 6-2, 6-4 and Heck came back after losing the first set to defeat Tim Dzhurinskiy 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.
