Eva Rubin, a senior center for the Fighting Illini women's basketball program, has been living with type 1 diabetes since she was 13 years old. And as a community health major whose future career goals include working in hospital administration, Rubin has continued to advocate for individuals living with the disease throughout her time at Illinois.
During Diabetes Awareness Month in November, Rubin is raising funds in support of the JDRF Illinois Type #OneDay Campaign. You can help her reach her fundraising goal here.
Rubin recently sat down for a roundtable discussion with Illini women's basketball team managers Zach Rothenberg and Nick King to discuss their experiences as three individuals living with type 1 diabetes.
