CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois and head coach Evan Clark have announced the addition of graduate transfer Tiffany Huber on Friday. Huber, a native of Miami, Fla., joins the Illini following two seasons at Minnesota.
"We are excited to welcome Tiffany to the Fighting Illini family," said head coach Evan Clark. "Tiffany had a lot of choices in this process, so we are extremely grateful that she chose Illinois and trusted us to help finish her college career."
During her collegiate career, Huber accumulated an overall record of 71-44 in singles, where she primarily played at the No. 2 court, and 47-29 in doubles play, primarily positioned at No. 1.
Huber posted an overall record of 14-8 during the COVID-19 shortened 2019-20 season and tallied the second most double wins with 17 this past season. In the 2018-19 season, she earned a 17-11 overall record and started the season with victories in six straight singles matches.
Prior to her stint at Minnesota, Huber started her successful collegiate career at Louisville. There, she reached the Round of 32 at ITA Ohio Valley Regional in singles play and the main draw at ITA Ohio Valley Regional in doubles in the fall 2017-18 season. She went 20-13 in singles during the 2016-17 season.
Before Louisville, Huber competed in the quarterfinals of USTA Hard Courts Doubles Championships, collected two ITF titles, one in singles and one in doubles, and achieved No. 63 in the 2016 recruiting rankings.
Huber joins an incoming Illinois tennis class that includes one student-athlete who signed and was announced previously: Katherine Duong.

"I chose Illinois because of the great academic and athletic reputation of the school and Coach Clark was exactly what I was looking for in a coach."
Coach Clark on Huber:Â "Tiffany adds a wealth of experience and depth to our team and will make an immediate impact from day one. We are so fortunate to be able to add a player of Tiffany's caliber and we are just thrilled to have the opportunity for her to compete for us in the 2020-2021 season. She has experienced a lot of success so far in her career, but we will work hard to provide her an even better finish to her college career. Welcome to Illinois, Tiffany."
