Champaign, Ill. – Sophomore guard Ayo Dosunmu and freshman center Kofi Cockburn picked up more honors on Tuesday, after each collected official Big Ten honors on Monday.

Dosunmu collected U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-District V honors as well as first-team All-Big Ten honors from the Associated Press. Monday, Dosunmu was named to the Big Ten media's All-Big Ten first team. 

Cockburn was named Big Ten Newcomer of the Year by the Associated Press, one day after earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year, All-Freshman Team and third-team All-Big Ten honors from the conference. 

Illini head coach Brad Underwood also got in on the awards train, collecting Big Ten Coach of the Year honors from HoopsHD.com. 

Dosunmu, Cockburn and Underwood helped lead No. 21 Illinois to a 21-10 regular season record and fourth-place finish in the Big Ten. Illinois' 13 league wins marked its most since 2005, while the No. 4 Big Ten Tournament seed is its highest since 2009.

Illinois opens Big Ten Tournament play in the quarterfinal round on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CDT on BTN.
