Throwback Night: Illini MBB Set to go Old School

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Friday night's first-place showdown between the No. 20 Fighting Illini and No. 9 Maryland will be Throwback Night at State Farm Center. The game is sold out, but tickets can be found through our secondary market partner, StubHub.
Uniforms – The Illini will be wearing the late 1970s white throwback uniforms that were unveiled earlier this season.
Student Giveaway – The first 1,000 students in attendance at State Farm Center will get a freee replica throwback jersey.
Retro Poster/Roster Card – The game roster card will feature retro artwork by Aaron Rench, inspired by the 1979-80 season schedule poster. Roster cards are on sale in the State Farm Center concourse for $2 on game day.
Retro music & graphics – Throwback music from the 70s/80s/90s will be played and old school graphics will be used in the arena and on social media.
