
Illinois Set to Host NCAA College Basketball Academy

Champaign, ILL.– The University of Illinois is serving as Midwest Region host for the inaugural NCAA College Basketball Academy, July 22-28. This is a developmental boys basketball academy for prospective student-athletes in the classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Approximately 282 campers are anticipated to be on the U of I campus over the course of next week (145 in session I, 137 in session II). Rosters for all four NCAA College Basketball Academy sites were recently announced, and are available online.
The format consists of individual instruction and skill development, educational and life skills seminars, as well as game competition. Illinois will be utilizing State Farm Center, the Ubben Practice Complex, and the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) facilities for the academy.
Only games played at State Farm Center will be open to the public. Admission and parking is free. Seating is general admission, and concessions are available for purchase.
The schedule at State Farm Center includes four games each on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and two games apiece on Thursday and Sunday. Game times are the following:

G1 - 3:20 p.m.
G2 - 4:55 p.m.
G3 - 7:35 p.m.
G4 - 9:10 p.m.
July 25, July 28
G1 - 9:20 a.m.
G2 - 10:55 a.m.
The West Grand Entrance of State Farm Center will open at 2:30 p.m. for the afternoon/evening session days, and at 8:30 a.m. for the morning session days. Standard clear bag policy applies to the public attending this event.
