CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With summer classes in full swing at the University of Illinois, the Fighting Illini basketball team has been hard at work with individual and team skill workouts at the Ubben Basketball Complex. Incoming freshman Kofi Cockburn has joined the veteran Illini on campus for workouts with Coach Underwood and staff.
The squad held its first full team skill workout on Wednesday, June 12. Freshmen big men Bernard Kouma and Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk, who both recently signed Big Ten Tenders of Financial Aid with the Illini, are expected to join their teammates on campus later this summer.
