ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Illinois sophomore Ayo Dosunmu is one of 10 players voted to the 2019-20 Preseason All-Big Ten team as selected by a Big Ten media panel. The conference office announced the team Wednesday morning ahead of annual Big Ten Media Day.
Dosunmu's list of preseason accolades also includes third team All-America by Athlon Sports and first team All-Big Ten by Blue Ribbon Year Book.

- First true freshman in school history to lead the Illini in scoring for the season (13.8 ppg)
- Recorded the fourth-best scoring average by a freshman in Illini history
- Two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week (Feb. 11 & Feb. 18)
- 23 games scoring in double figures with seven performances of 20 or more points
- Led Illini in assists (3.3 apg), second on team in steals (1.3 spg) and third on team in rebounding (4.0 rpg)
Dosunmu and the Illini first take the court at State Farm Center on Nov. 1 for an exhibition contest against Lewis University. Illinois opens the 2019-20 season on Nov. 5 by hosting Nicholls State at 7 p.m.
Season tickets for all 19 Fighting Illini home games (ten Big Ten, eight non-conference, one exhibition) and mini-plans are on sale now.
