Hello Illini Family!

With the start of the spring season around the corner, what better time than now to reflect on a successful 2018 fall season. There are many highlights both on and off the golf course. We won three out of five tournaments we played and finished in the top three in the other two tournaments. We recorded the lowest 54-hole tournament team score in program history at 19-under par and set the lowest 18-hole tournament team score at 8-under par. We had the opportunity to set both of these records at our first home tournament in 11 years, which we were blessed to be able to host at Medinah Country Club. When not busy enjoying success on the course, we were able to make some of our own highlights and memories.

The nights before and in between tournament rounds were filled with laughter and enjoyment of each other's company, while doing homework. Some of our fondest memories were made having breakfast, lunch, or dinner at varsity room. Our junior Tristyn Nowlin and sophomore Ali Morallos hosted our 'Teamsgiving' dinner where we had some fantastic turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and corn. We all gathered on the couch and watched 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas.' Before we parted ways for winter break, we came together for our annual Christmas party where we exchanged Secret Santa gifts and enjoyed a fantastic meal! 

We have grown so much this season, both as a team and individually. Each person knows a little more about their games thanks to the experiences gained from each event and we have worked on all parts of our game during the off-season. We have all developed strong relationships with each other and have amazing team chemistry because of our love and respect for one another.

Now that we have had the chance to take a little breather, we are more than ready to get right back into season! We have all realized the potential of this team and are excited for what the next several months have to offer!
