CHAMPAIGN - Four Illini are set to take on the prestigious U.S. Amateur beginning August 13 at Pebble Beach Golf Club and Spyglass Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, California. Incoming freshman Luke Armbrust joins sophomore Varun Chopra and juniors Bryan Baumgarten and Michael Feagles in the field.

The event runs August 13-19, and participants will open play one round of stroke play at each of the host courses, Pebble Beach (7,040-yards, Par 71) and Spyglass Hill (6,993 yards, Par 72). Those two rounds of stroke play will take place on Monday and Tuesday, with the top 64 players advancing to match play on Wednesday, August 15th at Pebble Beach.  Television coverage will air on FS1 and Fox August 15-19, and USGA.com will stream the Championship Match as well as Thursday's Round of 32.
