Hello Illini Nation!

It sure is great to be back! It has been an eventful couple of weeks for us on campus. Ali and I have finished moving in and decorating our apartment, while our freshmen have settled in and are very clearly excited for this season! We kicked off the school year with our Illinois Women's Golf Classic which was a success again this year. We all had an amazing time getting to meet, chat, and hit shots for the players out on the course! Special shout-out to all the sponsors and participants of this year's Classic!

We just recently returned from our annual Team Advance, where we traveled to Decatur and stayed at "Critter Cove" for the weekend. We had a great time with each other and really got to establish the team culture we want to create this year! Saturday started off with plenty of activities and discussions, then the tradition of untangling the human knot. I believe we completed this in record time this year! It was great to see everyone working together and communicating effectively to achieve our goal. Dinner came next which was delicious! We ended the night by playing a game of pool and watching movies together.

Sunday consisted of more discussions and activities, and then we were on the road back to campus! This really was a great opportunity for us to get to know each other on a personal level and for Bing, Ali, and I to assist the freshmen with creating the legacy we want to leave for the 2018-2019 season. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with these incredible women, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for us this year!
