In this week's #TBT with Dave Loane, we take a look backk at former Illini volleyball head coach Mike Hebert! In 13 seasons, Coach Hebert turned a program around from one that had six consecutive losing seasons to one that reached the NCAA National Semifinals and was consistently ranked among the top in the nation. Hebert became the winningest coach in school history and reached a milestone of 500 career wins while with the Illini. Hebert's squads won four Big Ten titles (1986, 1987, 1988, 1992) went to 11 consecutive NCAA tournaments and reached the national semifinals in 1987 and 1988. During Hebert's tenure, Illinois established itself as a leader in volleyball and won the national attendance title in 1992 and 1993.
