Illini Baseball Hosting NCAA Regionals, May 29-June 1
For the first time in program history, the University of Illinois baseball team will host an NCAA Regional at Illinois Field. The Fighting Illini were selected by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee as one of 16 teams to hold the national championship tournament's opening round at their home venue. Illinois Field will welcome in three additional NCAA Tournament teams for a four-team, double-elimination competition. Regional play begins on Friday, May 29 and runs through Monday, June 1 (if necessary). Read More Here

NCAA Tournament Field Unveiled Today
While Illinois found out last night that it would serve as a Regional host, the entire field for the 2015 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, with regional pairings, will be announced today during a live, one-hour telecast on ESPNU at 11 a.m. The Fighting Illini baseball team will host an NCAA Road to Omaha Selection Show party today at 11 a.m. at Billy Barooz in Champaign. The event is open to the public. A back room will be reserved for the team to watch together, while fans will be able to watch in the main restaurant area. Billy Barooz is located at 2521 Village Green Place, Champaign, IL 61822.
