Chip Shots

Hello Illini Fans,

This past week your favorite team was in the beautiful Miami, Florida! It was so nice to be able to get out of the cold. The course was really fun as well. There was a lot of different wildlife species on the course that were really different for us to see! Stephanie was the happiest of all of us! She was able to get so close to an iguana that she actually grabbed its tail; I think if she was able to, she would have taken the iguana home with her!

On the night after the first round, we were able to take a boat cruise around Miami. We got to see the beautiful city skyline and many other landmarks the city has to offer. Towards the end of the boat cruise we were able to see many of the gorgeous houses on Star Island. The houses ranged from Elizabeth Taylor's to Ricky Martin's. It was awesome that all of the players were able to take a break from golf, let loose, and enjoy the cruise. After the cruise, we went to a delicious barbecue restaurant and were able to joke around and have even more fun.

However, the best meal of the trip was on our last night in town. We went to a fancy Italian restaurant that served many different kinds of Italian seafood dishes. I have recently become somewhat of a seafood fan and indulged in some clams. What made the dinner so fun was that we all shared some of our dish with each other and were able to try many different kinds of delicious seafood. As Steph said, "We ate the whole sea!" It was a great bonding dinner that included funny conversations and laughs that will last a lifetime!

Florida is always an enjoyable destination and we are so fortunate to be able to experience such amazing courses and enjoy the trips! Until next time, Illini Nation!!
