Practice Rounds:

We made it!!! Stage 2 of LPGA Qualifying School is back in action this week. This week the tournament is being held at Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida. Since I have been to Venice 3 years for the Illinois Challenge (on different courses), I feel comfortable with the area and have seen this course. Both practice rounds were extremely helpful and I was able to create a game plan for myself to follow the next 4 days. The course is playing a little longer than the yardage states due to all the rain this area has received the past few days, but I actually prefer a little longer courses!

Day 1:

Off to a good start to the week! Teed off at 12:10 today on the Panther Course and we were lucky enough to avoid rain today to get all 18 holes in. I stuck to my game plan and hit my targets today and was able to shoot a round of 73. Shout out to my dad as well, as he is caddying for me this week and helps keep me calm out there! 73 was good enough to put me in a tie for 51st. The leader shot a 66 so I know that a low score is out there for me to get in the coming days! Just need a couple of putts to drop and I will be right there. The top 80 and ties will advance to the final stage in early December. Tee time tomorrow is 8:10 on the Bobcat course. I know I will be dreaming of birdies!!! ☺
