1. Illinois improved to 6-0 on the season and 108-23 at home under Bruce Weber. The last time the Illini started a season with six straight wins was in 2008-09, when they also started 6-0. Illinois' last 7-0 start was in 2006-07.

2. With the win, Illinois improves to 30-1 in November home games under Weber. The lone November home loss during the Weber era was on Nov. 28, 2006 against Maryland. Since then, the Illini have won 17 straight home games in the month of November.

3. The victory also extended Illinois' regular season non-conference home winning streak to 22 consecutive games.

4. Illinois' 47-point win over Chicago State marks the largest margin of victory since the Orange and Blue downed Savannah State by 47 points, 81-34, on Nov. 21, 2006.

5. Illinois scored its most points on the young season with its best shooting performance - hitting 35-of-62 attempts (56.6 percent) from the field.

6. The Illini jumped out to an early advantage, going up 13-3 on a Sam Maniscalco layup with 15:57 remaining in the first, and never trailed in the contest. Illinois led by 25 at halftime, 44-19, and the lead never shrank below 25 during the second frame.

7. Five Illini scored in double-figures on the contest. Myke Henry led the way with 14, a trio of Illini tallied 11 in Nnanna Egwu, Meyers Leonard, and D.J. Richardson while Tyler Griffey matched his season high with 10.

8. After missing the previous four games due to injury, Henry set a personal-best with 14 points, also grabbing three rebounds.

9. Illinois' defense caused 22 turnovers, tied for the most on the season, and the offense recorded 28 points as a result of the Chicago State miscues.

10. The Illinois bench and the first-year Illini were particularly effective against the Cougars. The non-starters recorded 48 of Illinois' 90 points while first-year players Henry (14), Egwu (11), Maniscalco (8), Mike Shaw (7), Tracy Abrams (4) and Ibby Djimde (3) combined for 47 points.
