Felicien Wins Loaded Race In Athens Tune-Up

Perdita Felicien won the 100m hurdles and Kevin Sullivan took ninth in the 1500m at the DN Galan meet in Stockholm, Sweden on Tuesday. Felicien, running in a familiar field which included Jamaica's Brigitte Foster, who finished second to Felicien at the 2003 World Championships, the United States' Jenny Adams, a former volunteer Illini assistant who continues to train with Illini head coach Gary Winckler, and Felicien's former teammate Sweden's Jenny Kallur. Felicien clocked 12.61s, outrunning Foster who was second in 12.67s. Adams was fourth in 12.73 while Kallur ran sixth in 13.04s. Sullivan ran 3:37.97 to place ninth in the 1500m run.

Felicien and Sullivan will each race a couple more times before competing at the Athens Olympics.
