CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Marcus Griffin scored 18 points as No. 8 Illinois beat NBC Thunder 76-57 in an exhibition game Friday night.

It was Griffin's best showing since returning Feb. 9 from knee surgery that sidelined him for just over two weeks.

J.D. Huleen had 15 points for NBC Thunder.
