CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Guards Frank Williams and Cory Bradford scored 15 points apiece to lead Illinois to an 82-69 exhibiton victory Monday night over the Cimeba All-Stars of Mexico.
Illinois trailed, 58-56, with seven minutes to play, but the went on a 17-4 run to pull away. Marcus Griffin added 14 points for the Illini.
The Cimeba All-Stars were led by Ken Leeks with 20 points and Wilfredo Pagan with 16.
Illinois Coach Lon Kruger continued to experiment with his lineups. 11 players saw action, no on playing less than 10 minutes or more than 29.
The win was Illinois' second exhibition victory. The Illini start the regular season Friday at home against Western Illinois.
