Junior guard is 47th member after 28-point performance in win at Minnesota
Junior guard Malcolm Hill became the 47th player in Illinois history to score 1,000 career points when he knocked down a pair of free throws with 2:26 left in overtime of the Fighting Illini's 76-71 win at Minnesota on Jan. 23. He added two more points to finish the night with 28 for the game and 1,002 for his career.
Hill also pulled down 10 rebounds to go along with his 28 points, to register his fourth double-double this season (and of his career). He hit a career-high 13 free throws on 14 attempts and knocked down 7-of-17 field goals in a career-high 42 minutes.
