1. Senior Rayvonte Rice hit a career-high five three-pointers and equaled his career high with 29 points. For the game, Rice hit 9-of-16 shots, 5-of-7 threes and 6-of-8 free throws, while adding four rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes.
2. Rice has dominated in his two career games at the United Center, racking up 57 points (28.5 ppg) and shooting lights out - 19-of-32 FG (.594), 8-of-12 3FG (.667) and 11-of-16 FT (.688). In last year's United Center game (vs. UIC), Rice poured in 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds.
3. Illinois shared the ball well, dishing out 17 assists on 23 made field goals. Kendrick Nunn and Ahmad Starks led the way with four assists apiece.
4. With today's loss, Illinois drops to 35-13 (.729) all-time in games at the United Center and 3-2 under head coach John Groce. The Illini will return to the United Center in March for the 2015 Big Ten Tournament.
