1. Jenna Smith set a Big Ten Tournament single-game record with 19 rebounds against Indiana. The previous tournament record was 18, set by Penn State's Amanda Brown against the Illini in 2007. Smith's career rebounding high is 20, which she tallied against the Hoosiers on Feb. 7 earlier this season.
2. Illinois has now advanced to the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals in six straight seasons.
3. Head coach Jolette Law improves to 5-2 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament, with the Illini being the lower seed in every game.
4. With her 23 points today, Smith now has 2,074 career points and needs 16 to break Ashley Berggren's Illinois career scoring record of 2,089.
5. Smith's double-double was her 17th of the season and the 49th of her career.
6. Smith's 19 rebounds bring her to 327 for the season and within eight of Lynette Robinson's Illinois single-season record of 335 in 1980-81. She is already Illinois' career rebounding record-holder and now has 1,157 total boards, which ranks third in Big Ten history.
7. Smith now ranks tied for eighth in conference history with 73 career rebounds in the Big Ten Tournament. She is also 10th in both points and blocks, with 145 total points and 15 total blocks in the conference tournament.
8. Lacey Simpson scored 12 points against the Hoosiers, totaling 1,116 for her career to move into a tie for 17th with Angie McClellan on the UI career scoring list.
9. Simpson nabbed eight steals on the day to move up to third on the Big Ten career steals list with 356, surpassing former Wisconsin Badger Tamara Moore's total of 353.
10. Simpson is also approaching the Illinois single-season steals record. She now has 101, just one behind Allison Curtin's school record of 102 thefts during the 2000-01 season.
11. Simpson now has 24 steals in Big Ten Tournament games and is tied for fifth with Ohio State's Kim Wilburn on the all-time tournament list. Her two blocks against Indiana give her 17 total in Big Ten Tournament games, tying her for fourth on the all-time list.
12. Smith's four blocks against Indiana give her 56 for the 2009-10 season, ranking fifth on the Illinois single-season blocks list.
