  1. Today's game marked the third all-time meeting between Illinois and Oregon. With today's 83-66 victory, the Illini improved to 3-0 against the Ducks.
  2. The Illini proved again today that the United Center is their home away from home as they won their 11th straight game at the United Center dating back to 2001. In their annual December game at the United Center, the Illini have now won ten straight dating back to 1995 and are 10-1 since they started playing at the United Center in 1994. Under head coach Bruce Weber the Illini are now 3-0 at the United Center.
  3. Illinois is now 3-0 in its first week as the No. 1 in both the ESPN/USA Today and AP poll. It appears Illinois will reach its second week at No. 1 next week, something Illinois has never achieved.
  4. In the Bruce Weber era the Illini are now 30-0 when they shoot better than their opponent. The Illini shot 58.0 percent compared to Oregon's 40.4 percent. When Illinois scores more than 70 points they are now 29-1, including today's 83-66 victory over the Ducks.
  5. For the second time this season all five starters reached double-figures. The last time all five reached that mark was Nov. 21 against Florida A&M.
  6. Once again the Illini came out firing in the first half as they torched the nylon at a 56 percent clip, hitting 14-of-25 from the field and 12-of-12 from the line.
  7. Unselfish play was on display as the Illini dished out 20 assists on their 29 field goals today for a 68.9 percent assist-to-made field goal average. The Orange and Blue have averaged an astonishing 69.8 assist-to-made field goals percentage. The Illini came up just short of their nation leading 22.0 assists per game average with 20 today.
  8. The Illini big men (Powell, Augustine) backed up their strong performance on Thursday with another great outing as they combined for 24 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. Illinois outscored Oregon in the paint 38-to-24.
  9. Luther Head's 23 points marked a season-high for the senior guard. Head was 8-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-4 from three-point land.
  10. The three-headed guard attack of the Illini continued its dominance again today as they all reached double-figures and combined for 53 points and 15 assists. The three shot 18-28 from the field and 12-of-14 from the line.
