Education:
Ballard received his bachelor’s degree in 1999 from Kansas State University and his master’s in kinesiology from the University of Texas in 2001.

Job Responsibilities:
Ballard serves at the head athletic trainer with supervision of the entire athletic training staff. 

Past Experience:
Prior to being name the Associate Athletic Director – Sports Medicine in May of 2016, Ballard served as the Director of Integrated Performance. In his time within the DIA, Randy has served as the athletic trainer for the volleyball, cross country and track and field teams. He has worked as an athletic trainer for USA Track and Field several times, including serving as an athletic trainer for the team at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. He served as the Head Athletic Trainer at the 2006 Cross Country World Championships and was the therapist for numerous Olympians and world champions including Perdita Felicien, Bershawn Jackson, and Lauren Williams. He has presented at several professional and coaching conferences on therapy, testing, and rehabilitation topics.

Personal:
A Concordia, Kansas native, Ballard is married to wife Lori, and has two children Avery and Ryder.
