Youth Cheerleading Clinic Overview:

The Illinois Cheerleading Team will host a clinic for boys and girls ages 5 - 12 on Sunday, February 8, 2026 prior to the Illinois Women's Basketball Game vs USC (12noon tip-off). This will be a short clinic dedicated to teaching basic cheers and dances. The kids will have a chance to perform their new routines at halftime of the game that same day.
The clinic will be held at Huff Hall. Parents are welcome to stay for the duration of the clinic. Seating is provided in the balcony overlooking the gym.

Registration Deadline:

January 23rd *(until 5pm) to receive a t-shirt.

Eligibility:

Youth Cheerleading Clinic: Any and all boys and girls ages 5 - 12

Cost:

  • Youth Cheerleading Clinic: $60

*Participant cost includes clinic fee, t-shirt, and 1 basketball game ticket

  • Additional tickets to basketball game:

*General admission tickets are $5.00

**Additional Individuals, ages 3 and up, will need to purchase a game ticket.

Youth Cheerleading Clinic Schedule:

8:30am-9:00am - Participant Check-in West Entrance to Huff Hall *(1206 S Fourth Street, Champaign, Il 61820)
9:00am-9:15am - Meet and greet with Illini Cheerleaders
9:15am-10:30am - Instructional Cheerleading (Huff Gym)
10:30am - Parents must pick up participants at Huff Gym and go to State Farm Center
12:00noon - Tip-off Illinois vs. USC (State Farm Center)
1:00pm (approx) - Halftime - Cheerleading Clinic Exhibition (State Farm Center)

*Parents/Guardians must complete and sign an Emergency Medical Information Form in order to finalize a camper's registration and participation in camp activities. This form is included in the confirmation mailing. A copy of this form is available at the link below (signature is necessary).
