Biography

Junior - 2015

  • Made her Illini debut after spending her first two collegiate seasons at the University of Oregon, seeing action in 29 matches and starting 20 for the Orange and Blue, playing in 95 sets.
  • Ranked fourth on the team with 173 kills on the season, averaging 1.82 per set while hitting at .206.
  • Ranked third for the Illini with 89 total blocks, averaging 0.94 per set.
  • Also added 25 digs and totaled 220.5 points.
  • Totaled seven block assists against Stanford.
  • Saw her first Big Ten action when No. 7 Illinois visited No. 19 Wisconsin on Sept. 30.
  • Had one of her best outings of the season with seven kills and five block assists against No. 9 Ohio State.
  • Notched her first double-digit kill total at Illinois with a season-high 10 vs. Iowa on 14 swings for a season-high .571 hitting percentage.
  • Posted 13 kills on 22 swings for a .364 hitting percentage against Michigan State.
  • Registered her first career double-double with13 kills on 24 swings for a .417 hitting percentage and a career-high 11 blocks.
  • Equaled her career-high with 14 kills on 30 swings for a .333 hitting percentage against No. 10 Wisconsin and added a career-high four digs.
  • Registered her fifth double-digit kills total with 11 against Louisville in the NCAA second round.
  • Totaled seven kills and six blocks against No. 3 Minnesota in the NCAA Regional Semifinal. 

At Oregon

Sophomore - 2014:

  • Played in 30 matches as a sophomore, starting twice.
  • Posted 186 kills, 53 blocks, 17 digs and two assists, hitting .226.
  • Hit a personal-best .692 (10-1-13) with five blocks vs. St. John's.
  • Struck a career-high 14 kills, hitting .480, against New Mexico two days later.
  • Hit .400 vs. UNC in the NCAA Sweet 16.

Freshman - 2013:

  • Played in 29 matches as a freshman, making four starts.
  • Totaled 45 kills, 11 blocks and 17 digs, hitting .174.
  • Recorded double-digit kills at California (10) and against Arizona (11).
  • Also posted a season-high 12 points against Arizona after recording two blocks.

  • A three-year volleyball letter winner at Peter Johansen High School.
  • Modesto Metropolitan All-Conference: 2011.
  • Played club for Rage VC team, a 2012 regional qualifier, placing sixth in the Gold Division, and fifth in the National Division at Junior Nationals.
  • Also an accomplished sprinter, the three-year letter winner helped her 4x100-meter relay team win conference titles in 2011 and 2012.

Personal

  • Daughter of Michael and Pamela, and has an older brother, Omari.
  • Father, Michael, ran track for California, and Omari was a USC football player (2007-10).
  • Among other family football ties, her uncle (Andre Todd) played at Oregon State, and her cousin Keylin Macke plays at San Mateo College.
  • Three other cousins were or currently are collegiate track and field athletes:
    • Talia Stewart (USC, 2005-09)
    • Tracy Stewart (California, 2006-11)
    • Thandie Stewart (Miami, 2012-15).
  • Majoring in journalism.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you choose and why? Somewhere tropical, because I love the ocean and beautiful views

Why Illinois? This place is unique. The people, the vibe, it's different. It felt like home.
