CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Illinois announced Thursday the addition of Toledo to the 2023 home football schedule. The Fighting Illini will host the Rockets on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at Memorial Stadium. It will mark the first ever meeting between the two teams. 

It is the second game on the 2023 Illinois football schedule. The Illini are slated to travel to Kansas on Sept. 9. The third non-conference game and Big Ten schedule are yet to be determined.
