Hello Illini!

I still cannot believe I graduated last week, and my four years here have come to an end. Looking back to my freshman year, it definitely was not an easy transition, but it was all worth it to see how far I have come now. My teammates, coaches, and many other support staffers have helped me to mature and grow, so that I am prepared as I take my next step into adulthood. College golf has truly helped shape me to be a more disciplined, loving, and open person.

I am so excited for the future of this program! To my current teammates returning, and to the future Illini, I truly hope you enjoy the whole process! It really is a privilege to be a part of this team, and I hope you all make the most of every experience. :)

As we played at Regionals, a part of me knew that this could possibly be the last time I represent the University of Illinois, and I wanted to leave knowing that I took in the whole experience, and played my very best. During the tournament, a part of me felt a little frustrated as many different parts of my game felt off, and I tried forcing things to happen. However, the final day of Regionals was different. I let go of all expectations and I wanted to focus on my commitments to enjoy and to be intentional with my game plan. Sticking to my process helped me to not get frustrated and center my attention to just playing for my teammates. Like the very first tournament of the year in Tennessee, my very last tournament in Wisconsin was no different. We all started and ended with the mindset of playing for one another.

Although we were only a couple strokes off from making the cut, I felt at peace knowing that my teammates and I poured our hearts out to each other and this season. This season has a very special place in my heart, and although it was disappointing to have ended in Wisconsin, I also wouldn't have wanted it to end any other way.
